This is a virtual class via zoom/or (April and June in person). Once you have registered, the zoom link and class materials are sent by email 3 days before the class begins. To receive a CHAPA and HUD certificate, participants must attend all 3 days.  This training provides first-time homebuyers with a thorough understanding of the home purchasing process. These interactive workshops involve detailed presentations from leading industry professionals including mortgage lenders, real estate agents, real estate lawyers, and home inspectors. Additionally, you will learn about discounted and downpayment programs: City of Boston, Stash, Family Self Sufficiency Program, Section 8 to Homeownership, Mass Housing and Mass Housing Partnership.  You will hear information regarding credit standards, affordable properties, condos, single, multifamily properties, and life/estate planning. Lastly, learn how to be a successful homeowner. This certificate is accepted statewide and gives access to first homebuyer specialized mortgage products and individual one on one coaching is strongly advised.
