For a limited time, MassHousing is expanding its homebuyer assistance program to
help increase the buying power and lower the upfront costs of homeownership for more
Massachusetts residents.
Homebuyer assistance is a 0% interest, deferred repayment loan of $30,000 or
$25,000, depending on income. There are no monthly payments for the homebuyer
assistance loan, which is due upon sale, payoff or refinance of the home.
Program Features
Down Payment Assistance from MassHousing
- Is only available with a MassHousing Mortgage
- May be combined with other community down payment programs (e.g., Equity Builder, community grants)
- May be used to purchase a single-family home, condominium, or 2-, 3- or 4-family property that will be your primary residence
